Round Two... *ding ding*

It's been about three weeks now, and it's strange how familiar Korea has become... On our first excursion Korea pretty much kicked our butts in the first couple of  weeks - everything was new and exciting, and everything had a hint of adventure to it. Now, it's more like home. We know what things are, we can speak enough of the language to get around, and we've got friends spread out over the city. It's odd to reminisce about the past here, because really it was only 6 months ago that we were here last, but really it feels completely different this time around. Now this isn't to say that we're not enjoying ourselves, because we most definitely are, it's just that this time has a different spin on it - not better or worse, just different.

So far we haven't been able to do a whole lot on account that my job is sucking the life out of me, but we've spent some time setting up our apartment, exploring our new neighborhood, and hanging out with some old friends. Luckily I'll be leaving this position within the week, so hopefully I'll have something a little more interesting to post soon. But here's a little about our apartment and such.

Last year we lived in Hwamyeong-dong which is literally on the other side of Busan from where we live now, in Jangsan. The weird thing is, Jangsan is the bizarro Hwamyeong: It's got all our favorite old restaurants, our favorite little shops, our local bar (that literally went up a week after we got here) and not to mention our apartment is almost identical. The good thing about Jangsan though is that this is a much "richer" area - so the streets are a little cleaner, and the average age is a little higher (ie: there aren't hordes of students running around the streets). Another nice thing about Jangsan is that it's only a 5 minute cab ride to my favorite beach, a couple subway stops to the other beaches, and much much closer to the nightlife. All in all we're glad we ended up here.

I'll post some photos soon (after we take some photos worth posting) as for now I just wanted to let everyone know we're doing just fine and having a great time. 'Till next time!
